Adults Drawing Class with Rosie Marshall

In this class you will learn how to draw in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Presented by professional artist Rosie Marshall, this class welcomes all levels from beginners to intermediate. Rosie is a children's book illustrator who is also trained and tutors in graphic design.

Nancy Belyea hosts this popular outdoor sketching group that concentrates on capturing the likeness of local people and scenes. The group learns new techniques in an informal setting. Meet in foyer at Louis Joel Arts & Community Centre.

Patchwork Classes

Mondays 10 am – 12 noon

Start your patchwork and quilting adventure with a friendly group of quilters. All skill levels welcome. In this class you will learn the basics of quilting and create and finish your very own quilt by end of term. Kumon

Monday, Thursday and Friday 3pm – 7pm

'The Kumon Method is an individualised learning method. The starting point for each Kumon student is determined individually. Students start with the level where they can attain a perfect score by studying on their own.

The worksheets have been designed in a way that allows students to figure out how to solve problems on their own. If students continue to study at their own pace, they will catch up with their school grade level and eventually advance far beyond it.'

Polynesian Hula/Ori Fitness with Nuholani

Thursday 7pm

Please come join Nuholani at the Louis Joel Arts & Community Centre for an hour session of Hula/Ori Fitness. Learning the basic Polynesian hip movements and arm motions then into 45mins dance session to get your heart rate up and the ultimate workout island style. You will come away with a great workout, smile on your face, and a warm heart after feeling the rhythms of the islands through your body.
